I've been a member of DeviantArt for 7 years now, and as time passes on I find myself increasingly wanting to find an alternative art site to spend my time on. I've had a lot of great experiences in my time here, but I feel that it's approaching time to move on to somewhere more consistent with my own artistic interests. (I'd never be one to condemn people for drawing what they like, but without mincing words I'd like to find a site where the front pages aren't constantly inundated with all the fetish stuff. I could just ignore it if I was still able to easily find new artwork more in line with my interests, but I've not really found that to be the case).
I won't be leaving dA at the moment, but I want to start looking at what else is around. I know there are some good sites out there for professional artists, but I'm just a hobbyist so that doesn't really work. I started up an account on a site called Wysp (www.wysp.ws/runningspud/). It seems decent so far, but doesn't seem all that active, so I'd definitely be open to any other suggestions!

Still Hanging Around
Hey guys, I'm still hanging around, just haven't been all that active on here lately. To be honest I haven't been perusing a whole lot of artwork here since the transition to Eclipse, just because I'm not feeling all that motivated to put the time and effort into learning the ins and outs of the changes and becoming comfy using it. I'll hopefully have some new artwork to share soon. At least, I already have a partially finished drawing that's been sitting around for a while that I need to dust off and finish. I hit a few roadblocks with features that I didn't like about it, which means that for the past few weeks I've been opening it up and exiting out of it again and again. Between that and spending a bunch of my free time playing some of the Legend of Heroes/Trails of games (they're great), May has certainly been quite a slow month for drawings. Anyways, I hope that everyone is doing well out there :).
The Gift Art Journal
Hello Everyone!
A couple of days ago, I posted a journal asking you guys for some ideas on how I could give back to my watchers. Drawing occasional gift art for my watchers seemed to be a popular option (in addition to occasionally doing pieces with certain styles or subject matter based on what you guys want to see, which I may try in the future as well). The point of this journal is for you guys to post original characters (or, I suppose, photos of pets since not everyone is going to have their own characters) that you would like me to draw.
In a perfect world, I could just rifle through people's deviantart pages from time to time and d
Ideas for Watcher Interaction
Hey guys!
I can never mention enough how much I appreciate all of my wonderful watchers - you guys are seriously awesome. While I don't have a ton of watchers (the numbers don't mean much to me anyways), I always feel so much inspiration and support from you guys to keep on drawing and improving my artwork. I'm especially grateful for all of the thought out critiques and suggestions that I get from you all - I genuinely try to use all of that to improve upon my future content :) .
Anyways, I would love to come up with more ways to express my gratitude and give back to you guys in some way, shape, or form. So I thought I'd write up a jour
Commission Pricing?
Hi guys!
I've always drawn as a hobby and never really put a whole lot of thought into doing commission work. I'm not against the idea of doing commissions at all, but I've never considered my drawings as an avenue for making revenue (and never really thought that people would be interested in purchasing my work, either).
I've recently been approached by a couple of people I know offline who approached me directly to ask if I'd be willing to do commissions for them. But I'm not really sure what would be an appropriate cost for my work, so wasn't able to give them a very direct answer.
I'm pretty new to digital paintings, so I imagine tha
